L\u2019association GABA + prot\u00e9ine de lactos\u00e9rum pourrait donner des r\u00e9sultats sup\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 la prise de whey seule en ce qui concerne le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019hypertrophie musculaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le GABA est synth\u00e9tis\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de l\u2019acide glutamique gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une enzyme (le glutamate est d&rsquo;ailleurs un ingr\u00e9dient majeur de la cuisine asiatique) et joue un r\u00f4le de neuro-transmetteur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude r\u00e9alis\u00e9e au Japon a port\u00e9 sur 26 hommes d\u2019\u00e2ge compris entre 26 et 48 ans, suivant <strong><a href=\"\/conseils\/entrainement\/programme-musculation-fitness\/\">un entrainement de musculation<\/a><\/strong> deux fois par semaine sur une p\u00e9riode de 12 semaines. On leur a administr\u00e9 chaque jour 10g de prot\u00e9ine de petit lait avec pour certains 100 mg de GABA. Des mesures effectu\u00e9es en cours d\u2019\u00e9tude et \u00e0 la fin de celle-ci ont montr\u00e9 que le taux d\u2019hormone de croissance avait \u00e9volu\u00e9 d\u00e8s la quatri\u00e8me semaine pour le groupe whey+GABA (689 pg\/ml contre 387 pg\/ml), doublant quasiment par rapport aux valeurs de base, alors que l\u2019autre groupe n\u2019a vu le taux de GH augmenter qu\u2019\u00e0 partir de la 8\u00b0 semaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toutefois la mesure de la masse musculaire par absorption bi-photonique \u00e0 rayons X (DEXA), \u00e0 la fin de l\u2019\u00e9tude, a montr\u00e9 une augmentation dans les deux cas, dans le groupe prot\u00e9ine+GABA comme dans le groupe prot\u00e9ine seule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On peut donc dire que le GABA potentialise les effets de la <strong>whey prot\u00e9ine<\/strong> sur le <strong>gain de masse musculaire<\/strong> <strong>maigre<\/strong> et favorise l\u2019augmentation de GH.
