Les sujets test\u00e9s ont effectu\u00e9 ces remarquables progr\u00e8s en pratiquant seulement 15 mn d\u2019exercice pendant deux semaines. Chaque exercice consistait \u00e0 effectuer quatre \u00e0 sept r\u00e9p\u00e9titions d&rsquo;exercice de haute intensit\u00e9 (chaque r\u00e9p\u00e9tition durait environ 30 secondes \u00e0 l&rsquo;effort quasi-maximum) sur un v\u00e9lo stationnaire. Par ailleurs, des chercheurs britanniques et n\u00e9erlandais ont compar\u00e9 deux entra\u00eenements, l\u2019un continu d&rsquo;intensit\u00e9 mod\u00e9r\u00e9e (MICT) et l\u2019autre \u00e0 haute intensit\u00e9 (HIIT) pouvant tous deux conduire \u00e0 une am\u00e9lioration de la capacit\u00e9 et de la performance physiologique. Par le pass\u00e9, Gustavo Araujo et ses coll\u00e8gues de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Campinas au Br\u00e9sil avaient constat\u00e9 lors d\u2019une <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/PMC5083880\/\">\u00e9tude chez le rat<\/a>, que <strong>la pratique du HIIT pendant 12 semaines avait engendr\u00e9 de meilleures adaptations a\u00e9robiques qu\u2019un entrainement classique de 6 semaines<\/strong>.
