CLIF BAR was born during a bike ride, when founder Gary swallowed a mouthful of an energy bar and thought: "I could make a much better bar than this!". Two years later, after countless hours spent in his mother's kitchen, Gary turned his idea into reality: CLIF Bar. The mission to create an energy bar with a better taste was accomplished. Today, CLIF represents 40% of the bar market in the USA.
