Isotonic drinks are essential for endurance athletes. It helps maintain optimal hydration levels, and rapidly transfers nutritional elements into the bloodstream. Glucose, sodium, potassium and the liquid in the drink balance each other to reduce ionic concentration (the more concentrated with the less concentrated, and vice versa).
Run & Bike Isotonic (475 g) is part of Activlab's special endurance range . This drink is suitable for anyone involved in endurance activities such as mountain biking, running, trail running, etc. It contains fast-assimilating carbohydrates to nourish muscles during exercise, vitamins to stimulate energy metabolism and mineral salts to maintain optimum electrolyte balance. The isotonic drink is specifically formulated to meet the body's needs and make up for energy expenditure and electrolyte losses during intense endurance physical activity.
The advantage of this drink is that nutrients are rapidly assimilated by the body, thus preventing digestive discomfort, which is a major problem during endurance exercise.
In the Run & Bike Isotonic orange flavour, we've added guarana, a plant whose seeds have stimulating and energizing effects, helping to maintain alertness and concentration during exercise. In the lemon flavour, green tea has been added to act as an energy booster.
