BCAA Hardcore (360 g) powder, developed by Superset Nutrition offers a balanced 2:1:1 ratio of BCAAs: L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine. These essential amino acids cannot be synthesized by the body and must be supplied through the diet.

For physical activity, BCAAs are recognized for their importance in protein synthesis and reducing muscle breakdown. Their contribution to muscle recovery is well established, as is their positive impact on lean body mass.

Enhanced muscle recovery with L-citrulline

For improved muscle recovery and congestion, the experts at Superset Nutrition have also included L-citrulline. This amino acid, involved in the synthesis of arginine, could play a role in the production of nitric oxide. Combined with BCAAs, it could facilitate their assimilation by muscles. This combination of ingredients could have potential benefits for post-exercise recovery.

L-citrulline has similar characteristics to arginine. It is noted that it is not captured or regulated by the liver, unlike arginine. L-citrulline can circulate freely in the body, reaching the kidneys and converting to arginine, a process that could potentially promote protein synthesis.

When consumed before training, L-citrulline could potentially have a positive effect on nitric oxide production, promoting better muscle vascularization.
