BCAA 2:1:1 (400g) powder is manufactured by the French brand Apurna.
BCAAs, also known as essential amino acids, are widely used by body-builders. These amino acids are made up of L-Valine, L-Isoleucine and L-Leucine. They are mainly found in muscle tissue (35%). They are said to be essential because they are not naturally produced by the body.
Amino acids play a role in muscle recovery. L-Leucine plays a role in protein synthesis, regulating muscle growth and maintaining muscle glycogen. L-Valine plays a role in muscle metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis. L-Isoleucine plays an essential role in blood sugar regulation, and energy regulation. The dose of BCAA varies from 4 to 6 g of BCAA. The 2:1:1 distribution means that there is twice as much L-Leucine, as L-Valine and L-Isoleucine.
BCAA 2:1:1 is very complete, and the formula is enriched with vitamin B6. A dose of up to 2.1 mg of vitamin B6 can help reduce feelings of fatigue.
