What is N-acetyl-L-cysteine?
N-acetyl-L-cysteine, often abbreviated as NAC, is a modified form of cysteine, a sulfur-containing amino acid. Cysteine is found in many protein-rich foods: meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, and legumes.
A formula centered on a single active ingredient
NAC makes up 38% of the tablet. The other ingredients are used solely for tablet manufacturing: fillers, coatings, and anti-caking agents. The formula contains no artificial flavors or sweeteners. According to the manufacturer, it is vegan and gluten-free.
